Hello! Let me just say, it feels fantastic to be posting again. I’m so sorry to have been away for a couple of weeks, but I fully plan on being here, delivering posts every Sunday as usual once again. Thanks for being patient with me, I’m so glad you’re here!
So, onto this fun DIY. As mentioned in previous posts, I love Lush products and the Oatifix fresh faced mask is one of my absolute favorites. It’s moisturizing, leaves my skin baby bum soft and best of all, it smells fantastic. Unfortunately, I don’t exactly live close to a Lush store and the couple of times I have been there recently, they were fresh out of fresh face masks! Such a bummer. As I am in esthetics school now, I decided to take some of my skills learned, put them to good use and make my own version of this wondrous mask. I love it and I hope you do too!
Here is what I used:
1 banana (rich in vitamins needed to maintain a healthy glow)
3 Tbs ground oatmeal (anti-infammatory and antioxidant properties, neutralizes PH, softens and moisturizes)
6-8 ground, unsalted almonds (gentle exfoliator, contains vitamin E)
1/2 tsp cinnamon (antibacterial and anti-aging properties, can soften and soothe dry and dead skin)
1/2 tsp nutmeg (restores moisture while promoting a bright and toned complexion)
2 tsp brown sugar (gentle exfoliator, hydrating and moisturizing, contains glycolic acid which helps break up stubborn skin cells)
1 Tbs coconut oil (moisturizing, gentle, balances PH without damaging the acid mantle of your skin, antibacterial, anti fungal)
You are loved,
